He was the Branch Manager at Asia Commercial Finance (M) Bhd in early 1996 before he was promoted as the Personal Assistant to the Group Executive Director of the Lion Group, entrusted with the responsibility of overseeing the manufacturing, trading and financial services under the Group's operation.
